Historical Fiction – The Timeline!

You hadn’t thought you needed/were missing one of these until now, were you?
Or maybe you had thought “I do wish some idiot would bore themselves – and us – silly by listing all the dates when my favourite books take place.”

Well, fear no longer, for I have done it. OK, I’ve done it with the books I have reviewed here on Speesh Reads, but there’s no denying it is a thing of beauty.

So, imagine – you think “I’d really like to read some books set in the XXth Century. But who writes them? Why won’t someone help me figure it out – why, god, why?!!”
Well, you need my easy to read, cut out and keep Historical Novel Timeline!*

The dates shown are, where I can find them, for when the book’s story starts. Or, in the event of a prologue that takes place a long time before the main part of the book begins, when the main story begins. So while the story may stretch over several years, even decades, the date I have included it under, is when the main story starts. Books are what I term ‘Historical Fiction’ you’re very welcome to disagree.

For books set in the same year, they are in alphabetical order by author. If they are in the same series, they’re in series order. Click on the title to go to my review (if I’ve reviewed it yet). Click on ‘BUY‘ to, erm…you know. I’m not making any money out of this, I wish I were. Where possible they’ll link to a hardback, if not available, to paperback.

If you know better, or if you’re an author passing by and you know different to the below, please get in touch.
